Camp Out in the Backyard

• Start by getting some sleeping bags and pillows from your home, or even just laying out blankets if you don’t have any extra bedding.
• Bring flashlights—you’ll want to make sure that everyone has one so they can find their way around the yard at night, plus it’s fun to make shadows on the wall with them.
• Snacks — get lots of them!
• Fire or other cozy heat source. Depending on where you live it may be difficult or illegal to have a backyard bonfire. Instead consider renting a large outside heating lamp or doing a smores bar with small lit catering burners.
• Build a Fort!

Backyard Carnival

A backyard carnival is a great way to give your child & friends a memorable birthday experience. You can set the scene by hanging balloons, streamers and party hats from trees, bushes and fences. Use cotton candy machines, popcorn machines and face painting stations to keep the kids happy while they’re waiting in line for games. Offer prizes such as stickers or small toys at each game so everyone gets something out of it! If you have room in your yard make sure there are plenty of places for kids to sit down and relax after playing games so they aren’t running around too much!

Play music that appeals to most kids (think Frozen songs!) throughout the party so that everyone is having fun together no matter what their age may be! When it comes time for cake make sure there’s enough ice cream available for all guests – even if some adults prefer cake over ice cream 🙂

Outdoor Olympics

The Outdoor Olympics is a great option for your backyard birthday party. The focus of the event will be on fun and games, so it’s important to have a variety of activities to choose from.

• Set up an obstacle course with various stations, designed to challenge guests in different ways.
• Play outdoor games like basketball or kickball in your backyard or park. You can even create an obstacle course by using different balls and cones to mark out different places for kids to run through.
• Hide-and-seek is another good choice if you want something more active than just sitting around eating cake and ice cream (though it’s important not to forget these things too). Kids also love playing hide-and-seek because they get excited when they’re found after being hidden in various spots throughout your yard (or inside if it’s cold). Be sure that any objects used during this activity aren’t breakable or dangerous; otherwise no one will want to use them again!
• Hopscotch boards are easy enough that anyone can do it—even younger children who may not be able to read yet will still enjoy playing along with older kids who know how everything works perfectly well! The person whose turn comes first starts off by hopping onto square 1 from either side; then he/she hops into squares 2 through 4 consecutively until reaching 5 where he/she stops before hopping back again towards square 1 once more time before going back onto 2 etcetera until everyone has had his/her turn once each time around.”

Kids’ Spa Day

Make a mud pie.

Just kidding! Kids love to play in the mud (and water and dirt). So why not make a spa day out of it?

You can set up an area for your little guests with towels and washcloths for them to wipe off their feet before entering the house, or simply give them each pairs of flip flops. Then let them go nuts digging holes, squishing mud between their fingers, and generally making a mess—but not too much of one that’ll require extra clean-up afterward.

Just add some adult supervision (maybe even some adult drinks) so that everyone stays safe from slipping into an open manhole while trying to capture bugs with nets made out of grass clippings.

Gardening Class

In this class, kids can learn about the importance of recycling and composting. They can also plant their own garden or make a compost bin. They’ll learn how to grow veggies and herbs from seedlings, as well as how to care for them until they’re ready to harvest!

This party is perfect for birthday parties at home or in your backyard because it’s easy to pull off with only a few materials: seeds, soil, pots/containers (kids will love making their own!), watering cans/hoses (you might want these for the older kids), gloves if you have extra pairs lying around — any gardening tools would be great too!

Mini Pool Party

Add a pool (or a few mini pools) to your backyard for the day and serve up a slushy drink in a plastic cup, watermelon, popsicles. Have all the kids wear their bathing suits and floaties.

Pool games are always a hit with kids of all ages so make sure you have plenty of them on hand. You can even get fancy if you want by making your own game boards out of cardboard or poster board and using colorful markers to write the rules on them!

Make Your Own Ice Cream Bar

You can make your own ice cream bar for your seven-year old. You’ll need a bunch of ice cream, syrups of different flavors, whipped cream, sprinkles and cones. It’s best to set up the bar outside or in an area with easy cleanup since things are bound to get messy. Your child may want to try mixing flavors together or adding sauces like caramel or fudge sauce on top of their ice cream creation!

Make sure that you have enough bowls at the ready so everyone has their own place to put their creations and make sure they have plenty of napkins too so there won’t be any sticky messes left behind when they leave.

Bouncy Castles and Water Slides

If your child loves bouncing, you should consider getting a bouncy castle or water slide. These are great ways to keep your kids entertained and they can be used as party activities for a few hours or the entire day. Your kids will love them!

Dance Like Nobody is Watching!
